It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Reiner Laudien on 21 November 2024. A man of great vision and boundless dedication, Mr. Laudien’s journey with Roemer’s Grinding Works began in 1972. Over nearly five decades, he became a pivotal force in shaping the company, rising to Director in 1993 and leaving an enduring legacy of excellence, innovation, and compassion.
More than a leader, Mr. Laudien was a father figure to all at Roemer’s, often lovingly referring to his team as his “children.” His guidance and mentorship were instrumental in shaping the next generation, including his son, Wolf, whom he supported tirelessly. Even after retiring in 2020, Mr. Laudien’s presence and influence remained woven into the fabric of the company.
In his final act of stubborn determination, he waited for Roemer’s to finish its workday before bidding farewell—a touching reflection of his deep connection to the business and its people.
Mr. Laudien’s resilience, unwavering dedication, and profound love for the Roemer’s family will forever inspire us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this time.
