The position of Production Manager has become available at Roemer’s Grinding Works.
The outline of the roles is as follows:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations using Lean Principals, with specific emphasis on Quality Yield. The Production Manager is responsible for planning and drawing up a production schedule, deciding on and ordering the resources that are required and ensuring stock levels remain adequate.
- Report on the adoption of Lean Manufacturing with the aim of eliminating waste, maximizing efficiency, and improving quality of work completed by adopting a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Actively manage the achieving of a stable production environment and a Quality Yield of at least 95%.
- Actively managing Service Level Agreement (SLA) to a minimum of at least 98%.
- Reporting on the team’s environment housekeeping on a weekly basis using Roemer’s 5S report. Accurately score each criteria with an aim to achieve at least a 3 on each.
- Report on the status of a safe work environment by implementing best practice in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
- Provide input on staff recognition programs.
A successful candidate should have good leadership training and qualities, have experience in Lean Manufacturing or achieve their yellow belt in Lean Manufacturing within the first 3 months of employment.
